It will only cost £0.0098 to run a 40-watt standing fan for an hour. Which translates to £0.23 (£0.0098 x 24) if you run the fan for a whole day.

Working hours = 8 hours

Electricity Tariff = £0.245/kWh

Cost = (0.05 kW) × (8 hours) × (£0.00).24/kWh) cost = £0.096
